I made TikTok for puzzles

The rationale behind Puzzle Express

May 14, 2026

The internet used to be a place we visited. Now it’s poison, and it’s everywhere. Viciously engineered apps and now even the content itself are slowly taking over our mi… I’m gonna cut the intro here, I’m sure you’re aware of what I’m talking about.

I present to you the antidote: Puzzle Express. After one year of development, I finally achieved my vision for it.

Open it and be greeted by puzzle games in a familiar, short-form interface. Swipe through them like a feed, except instead of watching, you’re playing something.

You might ask, doesn’t that sound contradictory? If your goal is to help people rebuild their attention spans, why make puzzles shorter?

Good question. I’m not really making puzzles shorter — I’m just (re)introducing them.

If you’ve never experienced the joy of puzzles before, please go and try a few. I’m only borrowing the shape of short-form media because it is familiar. TikTok succeeded because it’s frictionless gratification; you open the app and you’re immediately engaged. The initial version of Puzzle Express gave you the convenience of 13 puzzles, but people found two taps to still be two too many. The new Express mode takes the formula of what made TikTok successful and uses it to bring nourishment instead. Play right on the spot — no need to think of what to try and at what difficulty.

For the returning puzzle experts, welcome back! Challenge yourself by chasing the highest streak possible or dive straight into Daily and Arcade modes. We have properly rated Sudoku puzzles, hard mode Wordle, infinite derivatives of LinkedIn Games, and a few originals.

Express exists solely to make the first step to playing or returning to puzzles easy. Shrink down games into a very palatable 45 seconds without removing their essence and hope:

  • you get addicted to the feed, which is still a positive worst case
  • you commit to dailies
  • you discover something you like and advance to its higher difficulties
  • you share it with friends, which repeats this cycle

I built this site to be the escape from the modern world. With AI taking over our critical thinking, reels depleting our attention span, and doomscrolling wasting our time, I wanted a calm, safe space where we can once again take control, be intentional, and exercise our minds.
